First off, Happy 4th of July! It’s hard to imagine that two years have already gone by, and how much life has happened in this short amount of time. It’s truly grounding to look back and see not only how much I have grown as a person throughout this adversity, but also how humbling it is to see how much support and just pure selfless good that has been shown to me from my family, friends, and my community.

Today brings up a lot of emotions and leads me to think about my life and where I see myself in the future. Whenever I look back at the last last two years and where I am today I always think of the people who have been supporting me since day one.

Each day continues to be a challenge not only physically, but also mentally. I’m faced with the decision of how I want to continue. A choice. Do I keep moving forward, of do I not? Despite which choice is made, time continues to move forward. With me, or without me. I choose to move forward.

With the comfort of having a community of support behind me I can have the confidence to turn a challenging situation into an opportunity to learn so I can grow as a person, and not be discouraged by failure or hardships. As long as I’m well intentioned, working to be a good person, and to help others, I know I cannot fail.

Whatever the future has in store for me I will face it head on and continue to live my life, in the way that I choose. No amount of struggle or pain will deter me.

Nothing can hold us back when we take control of our situation and not let it control us.

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you. I would not be here today without all of your continued support.

Have a safe and happy 4thof July, and I’m excited to see what the future brings.

Sincerely,

Craig Towler
